What are Hummingbird Concerts?
I am Tammy and I host backyard concerts at omy home in Bastrop. I have created a space in our backyard that offers musicians a stage to perform to an audience of folks that love live music. It’s more intimate and allows you to pack your own picnic and beverages (or we invite you to enjoy the meal we have prepared as part of the concert experience).
I ask each guest to pre-pay our musician or band to secure their spot and if you'd like to join us for our meal, I request a $5-10 donation to help cover grocery costs. Meal donation can go to paypal or venmo @tlmiller30
I think it’s a win-win for guests and musicians.
How can you help?
Come and experience a house concert.
I believe in this experience of supporting live music and sharing food together. I want a world that can continue to have musicians performing and able to make a living. I need YOU to help spread the word in our community.
This is a “listening” environment. Conversations should be kept to a minimum and cell phones be turned to vibrate. There will be time before, after, and in between sets to socialize and mingle.
Things to bring to a Hummingbird Concert (HBC): Bring along a comfortable chair to sit in (we have extras), practical shoes (because this in our wooded backyard, I don’t recommend sandals due to Fire Ants, Scorpions, and other outdoor creatures), mosquito spray, a light jacket, an umbrella (if it looks like it might drizzle). Don't forget to bring enough money for merchandise.
Random things… This is a non-smoking event, no pets allowed.
Let the music BEGIN.... To RSVP for a show, use the convenient google RSVP form.
